Run Girl (Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers Book 1), by Eva Hudson

"If you love thrillers, don’t miss this action-packed novella!"
Enjoy the ride in this fast-paced FBI thriller as one of the toughest Special Agents ever to come out of Quantico buckles up for her first adventure. Resourceful and tenacious, Ingrid Skyberg is virtually indestructible: she can take whatever her adversaries throw at her and still get up for more.

BOOK DESCRIPTION: In Europe to help broker a peace deal, Secretary of State Jayne Whitticker is in the middle of delicate negotiations when her wayward granddaughter goes missing in London.

Special Agent Ingrid Skyberg is hauled out of her FBI training session at Scotland Yard to lead the hunt for the 18-year-old. The problem is, Ingrid has only one lead, just a few hours and can't call in the local cops for back-up.

Will Ingrid find the girl in time? Or will her failure lead to the collapse of crucial peace talks?

Run Girl sets the scene for Ingrid’s future adventures working out of the US embassy in London. If an American citizen lands in trouble… or winds up dead… or gets accused of a crime they didn’t commit, Special Agent Ingrid Skyberg is on their case.

The first instalment in an up-all-night crime thriller series—perfect for fans of strong female protagonists, thrillers with a twist and who like a little romantic intrigue on the side.

Please note: Run Girl is a novella - roughly half the length of an average novel. The second book in the series, Fresh Doubt, is a full length novel and is available now. Or grab a bargain: buy the Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers box set and get the next three novels at a massive discount.

PRAISE FOR EVA HUDSON"A brilliantly-paced thriller... Perfectly balanced between character and plot. Very gripping and suspenseful" - Sophie Hannah

Great plot, fast paced
By Ann Stanmore
Well it was good to discover how Special Agent Ingrid Skyberg gets to be working in the criminal division of the American Embassy in London. However, this is a great stand alone story too, so it is a good introduction to Ingrid Skyberg for new readers too.

The Secretary of States grandaughter Rachel goes missing and is believed to be in London. Ingrid is tasked with finding her and bringing her back, preferably before her grandmother realises she is missing and the negotiations of a peace treaty are finalised. She has to team up with Nick Angelis, a private security agent and the pair are racing against time all over the place with Rachel always one step ahead! Ingrid finds it difficult working with Nick instead of going it alone although she does come to terms with it eventually.

A lot of tension is generated as Nick and Ingrid try to track Rachel, will they be in time? Can they get her back before her grandmother finds out?

This is an excellent book with a great plot, fast paced and keeps you turning the pages.

Eva Hudson on good form, I definitely recommend it.

All right as an introduction I guess & should be read first
By Leapin' Literary Lurkers
I have been a fan of author Hudson to the point where I automatically download her books and was looking forward to the start of a series with Ingrid Skyberg.

My overall take was that it was kind of meh with a none too original set-up for the new character and very average writing. I was somewhat disappointed and frankly a little bored but will read the follow-up to see if it gets better. [Follow-up note: I just started Book 1 and definitely think it helps to have read this "prequel."]

should have been better
By juaquin
I have read all of the material available on this particular series and must say it should have been better. It is for the most part rather formulaic (fighting for cooperation, unbearable pain or strain, struggling with emotion etc.) although it is about an American I do not feel it was written by an American as the phrasing isn't right. Then we get to the editing so many words left out, in the wrong place or just wrong. If there was an editor they should be fired and never allowed to even touch a book again. Then we have what would appear to be a straight up moral person appearing to be a slut by sleeping around. All and all the books, novella and short stories should have been better and that's money I'll never get back.
